I've narrowed down my search to two phones -
Sony W910i (released: Mid-year 2007) ~$270
Sony W595i (released: September 2008) ~$330Feature-wise they are both very similar, quad band, sony walkman software, 3G, 320x240 yadda yadda yadda.
W595i matches the dimensions of my current S500i, while the W910i is thinner, wider, and lighter.
W595i & W910i both have accelerometers and radio, neither of which my S500i has.
W595i has hscsd, while the W910i doesn't. From what I understand, my S500i has it, and it has something to do with better call clarity when you have shitty signal. Probably nice to have.
W595i has a better camera, W910i has a slightly bigger screen (2.2" vs 2.4")
W595i looks sexier imo.... although they are pretty close.
They also both come in other color options, but I'm a pretty big fan of black... altho the blue and gray offered on the 595i is pretty nice too...
I have found a retailer in NYC, which I plan to visit sometime after november 5th to make my purchase.

W595i is sexier, I agree. Also, wider phones tend to be more comfortable, allowing the hand a wider stance so the muscles don't have to pinch. For phones in that price range, the price difference is pretty low. I say go with the W595i.
